Stila Prime Pot in Taffy Review

I cannot tell you how much I LOVE this thing. I have been using this constantly, everyday since I bought it. It does remind me of the MAC paint pots, but its so much more pigmented and creamy than MAC's. I've noticed that after awhile the MAC paint pots start getting a little dry but this is SO creamy I don't think that could even be possible with this product. I did want to try this but we primarily got this because of my mom, she wanted it because it was flesh colored. So not only would it prime the lid but it would also act sort of like a concealer, covering any discoloration or veins on the lid. I got the color "taffy" because its flesh colored but I remember there being one other color. Stila has "paint pots" in lots of colors but this was a "prime pot" so it is made specifically to prime for eyeshadow. So all in all I'm in love with this, and would definitly recomend this to anyone! :)

Oh! and also I got this really cute necklace on sale at Walmart.. Yes, walmart! and for only $3.00! I was so excited:)

Ulta and Albertsons (hahaha) Haul!

Hey guys! I got some stuff today at Ulta and Albertsons! :D I know the Albertsons part sounds a little ridiculous but I can always find the best clearances there on drugstore makeup!
Lately I've been looking for brighter colors because that's going to be the new makeup trend for spring.. BRIGHT eyeshadow and lip colors. Swatches and reviews coming soon! :)

Katy Perry Teenage Dream Nail Polish Dupe

I've been cleaning my room little by little and I have seriously found some awesome stuff! I found one of my older "Pure Ice" nail polishes that looks SOOO similar to Katy Perry's Teenage dream! Take a look!

The only difference I can see is Teenage Dream is just a tad bit lighter. The Pure Ice shade is called "Spit Fire". I bought mine at Sally's Beauty Supply for around 1.99 ish. I got it kind of a long time ago so I don't know if they are still selling it, but I did check their website and I couldn't find it. I've heard you can buy the Pure Ice line at Walmart though.. I'm pretty sure its not at my local Walmart, but you never know if it could be at yours!

Their names are Rocky, Pippin, Mooshi (arabic for mouse, I think), and Una. 

These are pictures of Mooshi (the white one) and Rocky (he is the black one and biggest of all of them).

I want to eat them, they are so cute! :D

Wet n Wild Navy Glitter Eyeliner only 99 cents!

Hello! I just got a Wet n Wild Glitter eye liner today! Its so pretty and smooth. You know how alot of glitter liners are scratchy because of the glitter? Well, this one isnt! :D 

There is a Navy, Silver, Gold and Black. I was going to get the silver and navy but then I asked myself "Do I really need the silver one?" so I didn't get it :p

I've always been told I was an "Old Soul" or  possibly an "Indigo Child" ever since I was little. If you're wondering what an Indigo Child is, it is usually described as a child being independent, strong willed, curious, and empathetic etc. Reading about it as I've gotten older has really helped me learn some stuff about my self. I've studied the Wikipedia page on the definition and I was like wow, this really sounds like me. 

The bad thing is having some of the characteristics that are mentioned have really caused some problems and plenty of confusion in my life. Like being curious and empathetic.... but mostly really caring about people. I really genuinely care about my friends and family. If you need me, I'm there for you no matter what. If you need someone to talk to or need to ask for someones advice... I'll listen to whatever you have to say and give you my HONEST opinion and tell you what I would personally do in your situation. I'm no pushover, but I'm not harsh or mean. I tell you how it is, in the nicest way possible and I truly believe that's what a person who has a problem or needs advice needs to hear.  And I just don't understand people. Some (and most people I've met or have had to go to school with) do and say horrible, cruel, almost ridiculous things to each other. The kind of thing you would say "You really don't think before you speak" kinda things.

Like for a possible, recent example. As I stated in OOTD post, I went to the movies with a few friends yesterday. I went with my friends..Lets just call her Britney, her sister Stephanie, and her sister's best friends Kaylee and Carly (Stephanie is 2 years younger than Amanda is).
I had never met Carly before but I had been around Kaylee a few times. At first I didn't have any issue with Kaylee until my mom said something about how she was rude to her at school. You see my mom is teacher. And when I was in 8th grade my mom use to substitute at my middle school. And apparently my mom had subbed for Kaylee's class when she was in 6th grade and Kaylee was a total twit to her. So after hearing this needless to say, I really didnt like her anymore.
But back to the point. Everyone thinks Amanda is gorgeous and perfect. I'm not a jealous person, don't get me wrong. I love telling my friends their pretty and giving them compliments.
So we see the new movie "The Room mate" (which was really good by the way) and we are sitting out in the Theatre's lobby waiting to leave. I am having a conversation with Stephanie, Carly and Kaylee..everything is going well until they all start talking about how beautiful and perfect Amanda is. So I just sit there, and listen and am kinda annoyed because I just dont like talking about that kinda stuff. I'm about to say something to the effect of how everyone is always talking about how perfect she is and I have already said the first syllable when I decide it wouldn't be a good idea to mention anything of that sort. Carly turns to look at me and gives me a slightly dirty look.. like she thought I was going to object to Amanda's perfect-ness. Then Kaylee says "Yeah, I'd hate to be her best friend because I would always feel so ugly".
Okay, seriously. WHAT THE HECK IS THAT SUPPOSE TO MEAN. I would NEVER even think of saying something like that to someone! and what makes me mad the most is that I don't know what her agenda was. Was it to put me down? or did she not mean to sound rude? I have no idea.

After thinking about this intently, I've asked myself one question: Am I really the average teenager?
Because most of the time I feel like I live on mars.

OOTD 2/5/11

Hey guys! This is my first outfit of the day photo! I was going out with some friends to eat and go see a movie. The sun finally came out today and the snow started melting. The roads weren't ice any more, more like a slush. Anyways, here are the details.

First post

Hey there! 

After much deliberation I have decided to start a blog. I mostly want to post about makeup and fashion such as FOTDs and the occasional OOTD but I also want to talk about everything else to. I wanted to started this blog because I really wanted something to put my thoughts into, something to look forward to writing in! Most people would just tell me to buy a diary but I've tried that and I just cant stick to it.. I don't know why. Other than the fact that my hand gets REALLY tired after writing a paragraph but with a laptop.. my hands wont be sore so, yay! Hopefully I will be able to stick to this!!


Well since this is my first post, I should probably give you guys more of a description of myself then I will put in the "about me" section! ;]

BASIC FACTS:
- My name is Eryn. :)
- I am 14 years old, turning 15 this July.
- I currently reside in the state of Texas.
- I live in an apartment with my mom.



I have actually recently become home schooled but I guess I am not technically "home schooled" yet because I havn't started studying yet. I really just want to take a break from school. As we all know school can really take it's toll.. especially high school. Don't get me started on that.

I have a natural loving for animals or anything living really. I love plants too, and I wish I could have a big Willow Tree right outside my apartment. My mom and I foster kittens and cats. So far we've placed about 7 to 8 cats in permanent, loving homes. I really feel like its the one thing my mom and I can do to give back to the world.. except for recycling :) 
On January 10th one of my cats, Odie, had kittens. I had never seen kittens born before and boy, was it amazing! You literally say "all those babies were in her stomach?!?!". Its really something everyone should witness at least once in their life. 
As you can tell, I will be talking about my cats alot.. just bare with me ;)


As for hobbies and such, I like to read and write. I also love to sing and listen to music. But my all time favorite thing is makeup. I have tons! I love watching all the beauty gurus on youtube, that's actually how I found out about Blogger. All the gurus have their own blogs where they talk about their personal life and such so thats pretty much where I got my ideas:)
